12 is the average age of young girls and boys entering into sex slavery in the U.S. today. It is not an easy subject to talk about, and the victims come from every part of our society. Often controlled by physical abuse, intimidation, lack of money, isolation, substance abuse or the promise of romance, they have no choice but to submit. It is slavery, and it happens in communities across America.
As an iDrive Agent, you have an opportunity to be an advocate for others. Investigate the impact of this issue in your own community and put a face, a voice and a story behind trafficking victims and the heroes who aid in their rescue and rehabilitation across the country. You can engage and inspire more teens to take up the fight for freedom from modern slavery. You can make a difference. You can help shine a light on this dark issue in your community and STOP human trafficking.
